Wilderness Stag Gift-Boxed Mug

I love these winter themed wildlife mugs. Very attractive, nice size and make the winter doldrums a little bit better.

I recently visited a friend in Buena Vista, and when I pulled up there were three mule deer waltzing in her yard exclamation later in that trip, we spotted a fox. When I saw these mugs in a gift shop, I had to have them to remind me of that wonderful experience. Thank you so much for creating these, so I can recapture that experience each morning when I drink my tea.

As indicated previously, one mug arrived with a black spot at the bottom of the mug. That quickly spread around the bottom of the mug, sort of like crazing of the glaze. Is the mug safe to use??
